Did you know that one person dies every hour of every day in the United States of oral cancer? Traditionally, oral cancer is detected by a visual examination at your dental visits. But it has to be pretty advanced before we can see it that way.
We decided that simply wasn’t good enough for our patients. We now offer the Velscope to detect oral cancer up to 5 years before we could find it before! This is great news for our patients, since it is almost 100% curable when found that early!
Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and because we already support the Susan G Kohman Breast Cancer Research Fund, we are offering the Velscope examination at no charge to our patients. We want you all to be healthy and smiling for many many years to come!
